Cannes Lions presenta a su Jurado para las listas cortas

  • En estos jurados hay representados 55 países y un 52% de los miembros son mujeres
  • Olaf Cuadras, Alba Barneda o Begoña de la Sota son algunos de los representantes españoles

Cannes Lions ha dado a conocer los expertos y profesionales de la industria publicitaria que formarán parte de los Jurados encargados de evaluar los trabajos de las listas cortas para esta edición del certamen. Se trata de una selección representativa del talento internacional, con una representación femenina que alcanza el 52%, la cifra más alta registrada.

En total, en esta edición del festival hay representados 55 países, como Emiratos Árabes Unidos, Irán, Ghana, Líbano, Egipto. El continente latinoamericano se verá representado con miembros procedentes de México, Perú, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Colombia y Argentina., mientras que entre los expertos de la región Asia Pacífico se observan profesionales de China, Hong Kong, Tailandia, Japón, India, Singapur, Taiwán, Filipinas, Australia y Nueva Zelanda.

Esta diversidad cultural forma parte, según ha explicado Simon Cook, Managing Director de Lions, del compromiso de la organización por designar talentos de toda la comunidad global. “El trabajo creativo ganador de un León no está limitado por la ubicación, surge de todos los rincones del mundo para competir y comparar la excelencia en el escenario mundial”, ha señalado en un comunicado oficial. “Es increíble dar la bienvenida a esta alineación verdaderamente global de expertos en jurados”.

Los jurados de las listas cortas participarán en la evaluación remota de los casos presentados desde sus ubicaciones particulares. Según Susie Walker, VP Awards & Insight de Lions, estos profesionales juegan un papel vital en la conducción de la primera ronda de evaluación, que crea la lista de preseleccionados en varios Leones. “Estamos comprometidos con brindar una experiencia de evaluación  acorde al estándar por el que somos conocidos y, lo que es más importante, cada trabajo creativo recibirá el tiempo y la discusión que se merece”.

Los casos ganadores de los preciados galardones se darán a conocer durante la celebración de Cannes Lions Live, una experiencia totalmente digital que tendrá lugar del 21 al 25 de junio.

La presencia española en Cannes Lions 2021

Además de los miembros del jurado anunciados hace unas semanas, a la representación española se unen seis nuevos profesionales de nuestro país. Tal y como explican desde Scopen, esta edición es finalmente la segunda con más representación española, con el mismo número de jurados que ya obtuviera nuestro país en 2015 (el año con más representación española fue 2012 cuando se contó con 15).
